Caris Life Sciences shares surge as investors weigh momentum
After reporting a Q2 net loss decline and revenue growth, Caris forecast 2026 revenue of $1.03 billion to $1.04 billion, implying 26.8% to 28.0% growth.
Caris Life Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ:CAI) opened its next trading session in focus after shares jumped as much as 21.58% on Thursday, with investors looking beyond the prior quarter’s results to determine whether the momentum can hold.
Yahoo Finance notes the company reported strong Q2 performance, cutting net loss attributable to shareholders by 99% to $637,000 from $517.2 million a year earlier. Revenues rose 45% year over year to $263.7 million from $181.4 million, helped by a 55% increase in molecular profiling services revenue tied to higher total clinic case volume and improved average selling prices.
The company said its molecular profiling services gains came alongside a 38% year over year drop in research and development services to $11.4 million from $18.5 million. In the quarter, Caris cited record clinical activity, with about 59,200 clinical cases, up more than 12% sequentially, as part of what it called sustained demand.
Caris also guided on its outlook, targeting full-year 2026 revenue to reach the $1 billion mark following the launch of Caris Detect, a multi-cancer early detection blood test. It expects 2026 growth of 26.8% to 28.0%, taking revenue to $1.03 billion to $1.04 billion versus $812 million in 2025, and reaffirmed clinical therapy selection volume growth of about 25% from 2025.
