Take-Two sees fiscal 2027 as an inflection point as GTA VI nears
The company reiterated fiscal 2027 net bookings guidance of $8.0 billion to $8.2 billion and forecasted operating cash flow above $1 billion.
Take-Two Interactive characterized fiscal 2027 as a structural inflection point, saying it expects to sustain a new level of scale and cash flow through a multi-year development pipeline, according to Yahoo Finance’s summary of its Q1 2027 earnings call.
On game performance, management said NBA 2K reached record levels, driven by a 35% increase in average games played per user and live service execution that lifted recurrent spending by 7%. The company also pointed to Grand Theft Auto V surpassing expectations, with more than 230 million units sold to date.
For outlook, Take-Two reiterated fiscal 2027 net bookings guidance of $8.0 billion to $8.2 billion, supported by high confidence in the November 19 release of Grand Theft Auto VI. It also forecast operating cash flow to exceed $1 billion for the fiscal year and said it is on track to reach a net cash position by year-end.
Management added that it expects commercial-grade, low-latency streaming to be viable within three years, which it said could expand the effective installed base by 10x by turning non-gaming devices into game machines, and it cited a $43 million Q1 impairment charge tied to canceling an unannounced title.
