Chip equipment stocks climb after TSMC revenue jumps in July

Taiwan Semiconductor said July revenue rose 5.6% month over month to about $14.51 billion, up 44.7% from a year earlier, lifting sentiment across equipment suppliers.

Yahoo Finance reported that shares of chip equipment makers rose Monday, with ASML leading gains among Applied Materials and Lam Research.

The move followed commentary from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, with July revenue up 5.6% from the prior month to around $14.51 billion and up 44.7% year over year.

On an annualized basis, TSMC said revenue for January through July 2026 totaled roughly $89.11 billion, up 37% versus the same period in 2025.

Yahoo Finance also noted that TSMC, the world’s largest chipmaker, has benefited from demand for semiconductors used in artificial intelligence, after it reported record second-quarter revenue of $40.2 billion and raised its 2026 revenue growth forecast to more than 40%.
