Decta to use USDC for international treasury settlement via OpenPayd
The payments platform plans to convert its own fiat into USDC through OpenPayd’s regulated, over-the-counter infrastructure for faster cross market settlements.
Payments platform Decta said it is exploring stablecoin-enabled treasury settlement using USDC, with OpenPayd providing the infrastructure for international operational settlements.
According to Cointelegraph, Decta will transfer its own funds into OpenPayd’s regulated infrastructure, where they are converted into USDC using OpenPayd’s over-the-counter capabilities.
OpenPayd’s chief commercial officer Lux Thiagarajah said the setup is a proprietary treasury use case rather than a customer-facing payments flow, meaning stablecoins would support internal liquidity management without being part of Decta’s external payment services.
Decta UK CEO Scott Dawson said the company typically shifts funds across banking relationships to fund operations and settle obligations, and that using OpenPayd’s regulated infrastructure could reduce delays tied to banking cut-off times, weekends, and multi-day value dates.
