Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund adds Cerebras Systems to Q2 hold

The fund said it increased exposure to Cerebras for what it views as a low-latency inference opportunity, citing the company’s wafer-scale design that integrates memory onto its compute fabric.

Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund published its Q2 2026 investor letter and highlighted an increase in exposure to Cerebras Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: CBRS), positioning the AI infrastructure company around low-latency inference. In the quarter, the fund returned 26.9% net as global equities rebounded, with the MSCI ACWI posting its strongest quarterly gain since 2020. Information technology led the advance, supported by broad market strength, easing geopolitical tensions, and continued investor enthusiasm for AI infrastructure. According to the letter, Cerebras Systems operates as an artificial intelligence infrastructure provider. The investor letter also pointed to Cerebras’ wafer-scale architecture, saying it integrates memory directly onto its compute fabric, which it claims reduces latency and increases effective memory bandwidth versus conventional approaches. The Yahoo Finance piece notes CBRS closed at $226.73 per share on August 7, 2026, with a one-month return of 12.49%, a market capitalization of $52.00 billion, and a 52-week trading range of $160.81 to $386.34.
