Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund returned 26.9% in Q2

The fund highlighted Sandisk as a newly added position and said AI compute, memory, manufacturing, networking, and power remain key bottlenecks.

Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund reported a net return of 26.9% in the second quarter of 2026, citing a sharp rebound in global equities and strong performance led by information technology and AI infrastructure, according to a Q2 2026 investor letter published by Sands Capital. The letter attributes the broad market advance to easing geopolitical tensions and continued enthusiasm for AI, with semiconductor and hardware companies driving much of the MSCI ACWI index's rise. In the fund's update, Sands Capital said its gains were supported by memory, software infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other AI-related holdings, while noting that concentrated exposure to mega-cap chip designers and manufacturers weighed on relative performance as leadership broadened into CPUs, networking, and memory. The investor letter also said the fund added Sandisk Corporation as a new position. It described Sandisk as a U.S.-based developer, manufacturer, and seller of data storage devices and solutions using NAND flash technology, and cited Sandisk's August 7, 2026 closing price of $1,212.21 per share, along with a market capitalization of $176.98 billion.
