Sprouts to replace former Kroger at Hedwig Village shopping center
The 46,268-square-foot Kroger space at 9325 Katy Freeway in Echo Lane is being renovated, with Sprouts planned to occupy roughly half the building when it opens in 2027.
A former Kroger location in Houston’s Hedwig Village is being converted into a Sprouts Farmers Market, with the store scheduled to open in 2027, according to ConnectCRE.
Renovations are under way at the 9325 Katy Freeway site in the Echo Lane shopping center, where the former Kroger space totals 46,268 square feet. Sprouts will take up about half of the building, leaving the other half available.
ConnectCRE also reported that Boucher Design Group is the design firm for the project. The shopping center was bought by Smithco in 2020 and was built in 1974, with about 150,000 square feet under roof across 12 acres.
