Mortgage rates ease slightly, nudging homebuying demand higher
CNBC says even a small pullback in mortgage rates was enough to revive some activity in a mortgage market that has been struggling.
Mortgage rates have finally stopped rising, and the slight easing has started to bring some demand back to the home loan market, according to CNBC Markets.
CNBC Real Estate similarly characterized the shift as minor, but enough to generate a trickle of renewed interest in a mortgage market that has been described as beleaguered.
The development points to a cautious improvement in borrower demand as rate pressure eases, even if only marginally at this stage.
