ACCESS Newswire reports Q2 revenue growth and higher ARR per customer

The company said it reduced G&A expenses by 23% and expects to cut cost of revenue by $150,000 in the second half to bring gross margins back toward the high 70% range.

ACCESS Newswire reported core press release revenue rose 2% year over year in Q2 2026, even as total first half revenue fell 1% due to lower webcasting and reseller activity, according to an earnings call summary posted by Yahoo Finance.

The company said average ARR per subscription customer increased 15% to $12,718, supporting its push to move users into higher value platform tiers. Gross margin compressed to 73%, with management attributing the decline to higher distribution costs tied to new partners and price increases from existing providers.

Management implemented a 23% reduction in G&A expenses by shifting to remote work and cutting lower nonrecurring costs after the sale of its compliance business. Sales and marketing spending grew 29% in Q2 to fund trade show participation and new hires aimed at converting product innovation into top line growth.

Looking ahead, ACCESS Newswire projected recurring revenue, ARR, to represent about 80% of total revenue by this time next year, up from 60% currently. It also described plans for product updates including an early Q4 launch of an AI supported content studio expected to increase subscription value by 10% to 15%, and it said it repurchased 40,000 shares for more than $300,000 in Q2, retiring over 2% of common shares outstanding since December.
