Baltimore sues Kalshi and Polymarket, naming major trading platforms
The lawsuit, filed by Mayor Brandon Scott and the Baltimore City Council, also pulls in Coinbase, Robinhood, and Webull as part of the dispute over alleged illegal sports betting.
Baltimore has filed a lawsuit against crypto sports betting platforms Kalshi and Polymarket, seeking legal action over claims that the services amount to illegal gambling, according to The Block.
Mayor Brandon Scott and the Baltimore City Council also named several major trading platforms in the case, including Coinbase, Robinhood, and Webull.
The dispute centers on the citys allegation that sports betting conducted through these platforms is not lawful.
The Block reports that the city is taking aim at the platforms as well as the intermediaries it says are involved in facilitating access to the activity.
