Freddy's appoints Rick Petralia to lead culinary training and innovation
The fast-casual operator said Petralia will oversee the company’s flagship training and media resource teams as it continues to advance culinary strategy.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers promoted Rick Petralia to Executive Chef and Vice President of Training & Innovation, the company announced. In the new role, Petralia will oversee the restaurant chain’s flagship training and media resource teams and continue to advance its culinary strategy.
Freddy’s President and CEO Chris Dull said Petralia has worked to define culinary strategies for core menus and limited time offers, and that his background in operations and focus on profitable menu solutions align with the challenges franchisees face.
Petralia has 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry. He holds an MBA from Hult International Business School and is a certified executive chef, and he was appointed Director of Menu Strategy & Innovation at Freddy’s in 2022.
Before joining Freddy’s, Petralia served as director of culinary innovation for a fast-casual Italian chain with more than 200 locations.
