Insiders Fund letter points to Alphabet concentration and AI stock misses

The fund fell 1.4% in June, gained 8.4% in the second quarter, and cited roughly 30% in Alphabet alongside premature exits from AI semiconductor names.

PODD-focused discussion surfaced in a Yahoo Finance writeup of PODD Alpha Wealth Funds, LLC’s Q2 2026 letter for the “Insiders Fund,” which outlined how the portfolio performed across multiple time windows.

According to the letter, the fund fell 1.45% in June, rose 8.43% for the second quarter, and was up 0.75% year to date, while the S&P 500 delivered -0.95% in June, 15.2% for the quarter, and 9.98% year to date.

The outlet attributed a significant drag to a concentration of roughly 30% in Alphabet stock, saying the position shifted from a cash-generating profile to a more capital-intensive posture after a major stock offering to fund data centers.

The fund’s results were also described as being hurt by losses in AI semiconductor stocks such as AMD and Intel, which were reportedly sold before the move fully played out, and the letter ended by emphasizing risk management while acknowledging the possibility of strategic mistakes.
