Solar Industries Q1 profit jumps 92.6% as revenue rises 70.3%
The defence and explosives businesses drove growth, and the company guided FY27 revenue to ₹14,000 crore backed by an order book of ₹21,350 crore.
Solar Industries reported Q1 FY27 results on Thursday, 13 August, with net profit up 92.6% year over year to ₹653 crore, compared with ₹339 crore in the same quarter last year, according to LiveMint Markets.
Revenue from operations rose 70.3% to ₹3,668 crore, while EBITDA increased 82% to ₹1,024 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded to 27.7% from 24.8% a year earlier, a 290 basis point improvement.
The company attributed the momentum to strength across its defence and explosives segments, with defence revenue up 123% YoY, international explosives up 65% YoY, and domestic explosives up 52% YoY.
Looking ahead, Solar Industries said it remains on track for ₹14,000 crore in FY27 revenue, supported by an order book of ₹21,350 crore. The company also plans capital expenditure of ₹2,050 crore during the year, with about ₹450 crore deployed in Q1, LiveMint Markets reported.
