Crypto payments barely register among euro area merchants, ECB finds
The ECB study showed crypto use remains under 1% at physical points of sale, while mobile payments have continued to expand.
Crypto payments remain marginal in the euro area, according to findings highlighted by Cointelegraph from an ECB assessment of merchant payment behavior.
The report said crypto acceptance was only 0.2% for online transactions, and it stayed below 1% for physical points of sale.
By contrast, the ECB found that mobile payments gained share over the period studied, underscoring the gap between crypto and more widely adopted payment methods.
