Frost Bank ranks first for retail banking satisfaction in Texas

The bank is headquartered in San Antonio and has more than 200 branches and 1,700 ATMs located in Texas, according to J.D. Power survey coverage cited by the outlet.

Frost Bank placed first among Texas banks for the 16th year in J.D. Power's 2025 U.S. Retail Banking Satisfaction study, according to coverage by Yahoo Finance.

The report says Frost offers expanded customer service access, including 24/7 phone support, live chat, and in person visits, despite being a regional bank.

It also notes Frost has more than 200 branches and 1,700 ATMs, all located in Texas, and that Frost Personal Account holders face a $2 out of network ATM fee, which could matter for customers who travel outside the state.

The article further says Frost's account yields are described as less competitive compared with online alternatives, and outlines that the bank offers checking, savings, money market accounts, and certificates of deposit, with most accounts other than CDs and its premium account available to open online.
