Dutch prosecutors sell $2.5M in crypto from bankrupt Knaken platform
The trustee said Knaken bought the assets in its own name, leaving customers with a euro claim against a collapsed company.
Dutch prosecutors have moved to sell $2.5 million in cryptocurrency holdings tied to the bankrupt Knaken platform, according to Decrypt.
The trustee said Knaken purchased the coins in its own name, a structure that leaves customers with a euro claim rather than direct ownership of the crypto assets.
As part of the process, customers therefore face recovery as a claim on the collapsed company, while the trustee proceeds with the crypto sale.
