Plans filed for trio of 99-unit towers near Downtown Brooklyn Macy’s site
The proposal would place two additional 99-unit buildings at 147 and 149 Lawrence Street, alongside a 27-story tower at 485 Fulton Street.
Commercial Observer reports that local developer Shimon Klein has filed plans with the New York City Department of Buildings for three residential buildings in Downtown Brooklyn.
The filing covers a 27-story, 99-unit tower at 485 Fulton Street, along with two additional 99-unit buildings at 147 and 149 Lawrence Street, with the projects described as having similar layouts.
If approved, the 485 Fulton Street building would include between four and eight residential units on floors three through 27, plus commercial and community facility space and nearly 3,000 square feet of rooftop outdoor space for tenants.
The development would sit across from 422 Fulton Street, a former Macy’s department store that is being renovated into BKX, a five-floor retail and entertainment destination. Neither the architect, Kao Hwa Lee of Kao Hwa Lee Architects, nor the developer responded to the outlet’s request for comment.
