Binance plans UK relaunch after applying for FCA license

The UK arm has been barred from offering regulated crypto activities since June 2021, and Binance is reportedly pursuing authorization under the country’s newer crypto rules.

Binance is preparing a return to the UK market after reportedly planning to apply for a license with the UK’s financial regulator, the FCA, according to Cointelegraph.

The report says Binance’s UK unit has been unable to offer regulated activities in the country since June 2021.

Cointelegraph adds that the move would be tied to the FCA and the UK’s updated crypto regulatory framework, which Binance would seek to comply with via the licensing application.
