Kraken adds US stock trading for eligible EEA customers
Kraken said the service is already live in Germany, the Netherlands, and France, with rollout completed across the EEA from August 18.
Kraken has expanded beyond crypto by launching U.S. stock trading for eligible customers across the European Economic Area, with the service moving from a limited country rollout to full EEA availability.
According to The Block, Kraken said it had quietly started in Germany, the Netherlands, and France in recent days, and that it would be fully live across the bloc from August 18.
Kraken also positioned the launch as a broader product offering, saying it is the only crypto-native platform that lets EEA customers trade traditional U.S.-listed shares and tokenized U.S. stock products, called xStocks, within a single regulated account.
The exchange said EEA customers can trade more than 7,000 U.S. stocks as traditional shares alongside more than 600 crypto assets, and it framed the setup as giving customers access to the same underlying exposure through either traditional or tokenized representation without moving capital or changing platforms, as described by The Block.
