SoFi Invest offers cash deposit match for eligible members

The 1% to 2% cash match is available August 18 through August 31, 2026, with a five year holding period to keep the full rate.

Benzinga says SoFi will make a cash-deposit match available to SoFi Invest members from August 18 through August 31, 2026, tied to non-retirement SoFi Invest account deposits.

According to the promotion terms, eligible members receive a 1% match on cash deposits, while SoFi Plus members receive a 2% match. SoFi Plus participants must be subscribed at the time of deposit and keep the deposited funds in the account for five years to retain the full 2% match, while non-SoFi Plus members must keep the funds for five years to retain the full 1% match.

The outlet also notes that restrictions apply and that the match may be taxable. Benzinga describes SoFi’s platform as offering fractional share investing in stocks and ETFs with as little as $5 and $0 fees per trade, alongside options trading and robo investing options.
