U.S. 30-year Treasury yields climb as oil firms and Iran tensions rise

The 30-year yield recently traded near 5.322%, just below its highest level since 2002, as markets weighed renewed inflation risk.

U.S. Treasury yields rose on Tuesday as oil strengthened and geopolitical tensions involving the United States and Iran added to inflation concerns, CNBC Markets reported.

The 30-year Treasury yield climbed by more than 1 basis point to trade around 5.322%, remaining near its highest level since 2002, according to CNBC Markets.

With borrowing costs sensitive to inflation expectations, the move reflected shifting market pricing around the inflation outlook amid energy gains and the geopolitical developments.
