Claims leaders push AI adoption while prioritizing employee trust
White Paper cites the workers’ compensation push toward document intelligence and agentic AI, plus a Beazley survey where 82% of business leaders say they are prepared for cyber threats.
The workers’ compensation industry is moving toward greater use of artificial intelligence in claims operations, with leaders emphasizing that adoption depends as much on employee trust as on new technology, according to a Risk & Insurance White Paper. It says AI is being applied from document intelligence at intake to agentic AI intended to help junior adjusters make decisions closer to those typically reserved for senior staff.
The paper highlights that claims executives face practical hurdles alongside the potential for faster decisions and better outcomes. It points to employee concerns about job security and the need to meet new governance demands as AI capabilities expand.
Risk & Insurance also ties claim strategy to financial and legal outcomes, noting that the early weeks after an injury are critical. It cites a guide from Kinetic Insurance saying strategic claim management during that period can reduce costs and help prevent litigation.
Finally, the paper connects insurer partnerships and risk readiness to a broader environment of regulatory complexity and macroeconomic pressures. It says life sciences companies are seeking productive partnerships with insurers and references a Beazley survey of 3,500 business leaders, where 82% believe they are prepared for cyber threats even as AI-driven attacks are described as growing faster and being harder to contain.
