Dymon Asia Capital secures about $1bn ADIC commitment
ADIC plans to deploy the allocation in tranches as part of a broader effort to boost hedge-fund exposure for diversification and risk-adjusted returns.
Singapore-based hedge fund manager Dymon Asia Capital has secured a commitment of about $1bn from Abu Dhabi Investment Council, according to a Bloomberg report cited by Hedgeweek. The investment is expected to be deployed in tranches, supporting Dymon’s expansion across commodities, London, and multiple Asian markets.
For ADIC, the allocation is part of a broader push to increase its exposure to hedge funds as it seeks diversification and stronger risk-adjusted returns. ADIC has previously said it sees value in hedge-fund strategies that can provide diversification and downside protection across different market conditions.
Hedgeweek reports that Dymon’s growth has outpaced earlier expectations, with assets nearly doubling its 2026 target to $9bn as of July 31. The firm’s flagship Dymon Asia Multi-strategy Investment fund is up 7.5% so far this year, after falling 6.5% during July’s broad market selloff.
Dymon has also been adding leadership for its commodities and London operations, including Amir Ravan as head of commodities and Jay Radia as chief operating officer for commodities. The expansion includes hiring for the London team and adding staff across offices in Hong Kong, South Korea, and India, while ADIC also backs other hedge-fund managers and considers building a hedge-fund portfolio worth up to $15bn.
