Bessent says U.S. budget deficit likely peaked under Trump
CNBC Economy reports that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Thursday there is a very good chance the U.S. budget deficit has already peaked under President Donald Trump.
Bessent made the comment in the context of assessing where the deficit is headed, according to CNBC Economy.
