Bloom Energy surges after record Q2 earnings and expanding AI power deals
Bloom posted record Q2 revenue of $1.065 billion and raised 2026 revenue guidance to $3.9 billion to $4.2 billion as AI data centers seek faster on-site power.
Bloom Energy’s stock has surged as the fuel-cell maker repositions itself for AI data center power needs and delivers a standout quarter, with its performance tied to both earnings results and signed demand. MarketBeat Ratings highlights that the shares are up more than 130% since the start of the year and about 370% over the past 12 months, following results released July 28.
In the second quarter, Bloom reported record revenue of $1.065 billion, up 165.5% from a year earlier and above analyst expectations of $826.13 million. Profitability improved sharply as net income rose to $196.3 million from a $42.6 million loss a year earlier, and non-GAAP operating income increased to $239.6 million from $28.6 million.
The quarter also showed a stronger earnings profile, with adjusted EBITDA reaching $253 million, roughly 24% of revenue. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share came in at 78 cents versus the 39-cent consensus, while GAAP diluted EPS was 62 cents compared with a loss of 18 cents the prior year.
Management tied the growth to major contract momentum and followed up with updated guidance. Full-year 2026 revenue guidance was raised to a range of $3.9 billion to $4.2 billion, up from $3.4 billion to $3.8 billion, and non-GAAP EPS guidance was set at $2.55 to $2.85, supported by deal expansion including Oracle’s agreement for up to 2.8 gigawatts, with 1.2 gigawatts already under contract.
