Hedge funds rebalance portfolios after Big Tech pullback
MarketWatch said hedge funds were “all-in” on the AI trade early in the year, but later diversified into healthcare, energy, and financials after summer volatility.
Hedge funds have started rebalancing portfolios after summer volatility prompted a broader cleanup, according to MarketWatch.
The outlet said many funds entered the second quarter positioned heavily toward the AI trade, but more recently have begun diversifying their holdings.
MarketWatch reported that the shift includes adding exposure to sectors outside Big Tech, including healthcare, energy, and financials.
