Japan inflation jumps to highest level this year on energy costs
Japan’s core inflation, excluding fresh food but including energy, matched expectations at 1.8%.
Japan’s headline inflation rate rose to its highest level this year as energy prices weighed on the cost of living, according to CNBC Markets.
The outlet said core inflation, which strips out prices of fresh food but still includes energy, came in line with expectations at 1.8%.
