Airlines roll out Black Friday fare deals through Cyber Monday

For 2026, Black Friday falls on November 27, with sales typically starting mid-November and running through November 30 and December 1.

Airlines typically join the day-after-Thanksgiving shopping rush by publishing discounted fares, promo codes, and bonus miles offers in late November, turning the window into one of the most consistent deal periods on the travel calendar, according to Benzinga.

With Black Friday 2026 on November 27, many carriers begin rolling out early-access and pre-Black Friday fares in mid-November and keep promotions going through Cyber Monday on November 30 and Travel Tuesday on December 1.

Benzinga notes that the discounts usually favor flexibility, with off-peak travel dates, especially January through March, seeing the biggest cuts. International routes to Europe, Asia, and Latin America for winter and early spring are highlighted as areas that can reach steep reductions, sometimes 25.0% to 40.0% below typical fares.

The article adds that not every flight is included, and fixed, busy-period travel plans can backfire, since fares may rise while consumers wait for the promotions.

As a guide to what to expect, Benzinga points to Black Friday 2025 offers, including Alaska Airlines advertising 30.0% off flights to destinations including Latin America and the islands of Tahiti and the Cook Islands with a single promo code, and Southwest offering up to 50.0% off base fares on select routes.
