Microsoft patches Entra ID flaw before publishing CVE

Microsoft says it assigned the bug the highest severity score and found no evidence of it being exploited.

Microsoft has patched a security flaw in its Entra ID service, addressing a bug that received the highest possible severity rating.

According to Decrypt, Microsoft said it implemented the fix before publishing the vulnerability identifier, the CVE.

The company also stated it found no evidence the vulnerability was ever exploited.

The update highlights the security-risk management steps around identity infrastructure tied to cloud access and authentication.
