U.K. says a cyberattack-linked power generator shutdown poses no energy risk
The government also said it briefed power-sector CEOs and provided guidance following the incident.
CNBC Markets reports that a small power generator in the U.K. was shut down after a cyberattack allegedly linked to Iran, according to the Telegraph.
The U.K. government said the incident did not pose a risk to the country’s energy system, and it briefed CEOs of companies in the sector with advice.
CNBC World carried the same account, citing the government’s assessment that the shutdown would not threaten overall energy supply.
