The hedge fund disclosed new positions of 884,691 Snowflake shares and 821,768 Twilio shares, worth about $225.2 million and $169.6 million, respectively.

Whale Rock Capital Management is using volatility in the software sector to build new positions, according to its latest quarterly portfolio disclosure. Yahoo Finance reports that the hedge fund initiated fresh stakes in Snowflake and Twilio in its Q2 2026 13F filing.

The new Snowflake position totals 884,691 shares, valued at about $225.2 million. Whale Rock also disclosed a new Twilio position of 821,768 shares, worth roughly $169.6 million, with the two investments representing about 1.81% and 1.36% of its reported portfolio, respectively.

Yahoo Finance notes that Snowflake is a cloud-based data platform company supporting data storage, processing, analysis, and sharing, and it is expanding into AI through products including its AI Data Cloud and Cortex offerings. The article also says Snowflake has a market cap of $112.7 billion, with the stock up 64.4% over the past 52 weeks and 46% year-to-date.

The report adds that Snowflake trades at 24.07 times sales, higher than the software sector median but below its own five-year average. It also points to Snowflake’s first-quarter fiscal 2027 results released May 27, for the quarter ended April 30, where revenue rose 33% year-over-year to $1.4 billion.
