Chicago home prices rose the most in the U.S. over the past year
The wider U.S. market is growing slowly, but Chicago outpaced other metros even as housing inventory remains relatively low nationwide, according to MarketWatch.
Chicago home prices climbed more than any other U.S. market over the past year, according to MarketWatch.
The outlet said that while national home prices are rising at a slow pace, housing inventory remains relatively low.
MarketWatch added that big gains are showing up in certain regions, particularly in the Midwest, even as the overall pace of price growth stays modest.
