Grayscale launches Zcash ETF under ticker ZCSH on NYSE Arca
The ZCSH ETF charges a 2.5% fee, with revenue directed back to the Zcash ecosystem, while Zcash has jumped 45% over the past few days.
Grayscale has launched its first Zcash ETF that offers direct exposure to the privacy-focused cryptocurrency, debuting on NYSE Arca under the ticker symbol ZCSH, according to The Block.
The new product is a conversion of Grayscale's Zcash Trust. The ETF fee is set at 2.5%, and Grayscale said the revenue from that fee will be directed back to the Zcash ecosystem to promote and support the network and its broader development.
Grayscale Head of Index Steve Vanourny linked growing demand for privacy to the way artificial intelligence can change how financial activity is monitored. He said Grayscale expects demand for genuine financial privacy to rise as AI reshapes monitoring, and positioned ZCSH as a familiar exchange-traded product way to access a privacy-focused asset.
The Block said Zcash rallied about 45% over the past few days, and that the move followed progress on filing its fifth amended registration statement before the weekend. An earlier amendment also indicated that a subsidiary of Grayscale's parent company, Digital Currency Group, is considering acquiring about 200,000 ZEC through the trust.
