Soros Fund Management opens new position in Nebius Group
The new holding is 310,000 Nebius Class A shares worth about $85.6 million at quarter end, as the company reported $582.3 million in Q2 revenue.
Soros Fund Management has opened a new position in Nebius Group, according to its latest portfolio disclosure. The firm reported ownership of 310,000 Nebius shares, Class A, valued at approximately $85.6 million at quarter end.
The disclosure comes as Nebius has been volatile in recent trading. The stock rose nearly 9% on Aug. 14 following the news, but later fell about 20% over the following five days, the outlet noted.
Nebius also reported strong growth in its most recent quarter. Yahoo Finance cited Q2 results showing revenue of $582.3 million, up 454% year over year and above analysts' estimates, helped by demand for AI computing capacity.
The company is simultaneously planning major spending to support that growth. Nebius intends to invest $20 billion to $25 billion in capital expenditures this year to expand its AI infrastructure, while also reporting $236.2 million in adjusted EBITDA, reversing a prior-year loss, Yahoo Finance said.
