Guinness Global Innovators Fund points to KLA as Q2 contributor

The fund said KLA, highlighted in its Q2 2026 investor letter, was a notable contributor as its Information Technology overweight helped performance.

Guinness Global Innovators Fund, the flagship vehicle managed by Guinness Global Innovators, published its Q2 2026 quarterly investor update and cited KLA Corporation as a notable contributor. The fund described itself as focused on global companies tied to innovation in technology, communication, globalization, and management strategies.

In the second quarter of 2026, Guinness Global Innovators Fund returned 13.8% in GBP, outperforming the MSCI World Index’s 13.0% and the IA Global sector average’s 13.1%. The update linked the reversal of earlier caution to easing Middle East tensions, falling oil prices, and renewed enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, alongside investor rotation back toward growth and AI infrastructure beneficiaries.

The fund said its overweight position in Information Technology supported relative performance, while an overweight in Communication Services detracted. It also noted that avoiding weaker Utilities, Materials, and Energy contributed, and it pointed to three semiconductor equipment manufacturers in its portfolio that it described as top performers over the quarter.

KLA Corporation, which designs, manufactures, and markets process control and yield management solutions for semiconductor and related electronics industries, was highlighted specifically. The update said KLA closed at $183.99 per share on August 21, 2026, and the stock gained 105.2% over the quarter, while also reporting a -9.52% one-month return and a 109.19% gain over the past 52 weeks.
