Kalshi raises $1.12B via private equity sale, SEC filing shows
The SEC Form D says about $380 million remains available in the nearly $1.5 billion offering after $1.12 billion in equity was sold.
Kalshi, the prediction market platform, has raised about $1.12 billion through a private equity sale since April 3, according to its latest Form D filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, The Block reports.
The filing indicates the company sold $1.12 billion worth of equity out of an offering totaling nearly $1.5 billion, leaving roughly $380 million still available under the same notice.
The Block also notes that the total may include Kalshi’s $1 billion Series F round led by Coatue, disclosed in May, which valued the company at $22 billion and drew participation from investors including Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz.
Separately, the outlet points to earlier reporting that Kalshi sought additional funding of $750 million at a $40 billion valuation, and it cited the platform’s reported $40 billion trading volume in July, versus Polymarket and Polymarket US’s combined $12.9 billion that month.
