Liberty Specialty Markets appoints Jennie Beard for UK and MENA war risk

The promotion takes effect 1 August 2026, expanding Beard’s remit from LSM’s UK war and terrorism business to MENA.

Liberty Specialty Markets, part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has promoted Jennie Beard to head of its UK and MENA war and terrorism line of business, effective 1 August 2026.

In the expanded role, Beard will continue to lead and develop LSM’s UK war and terrorism proposition while broadening leadership into the MENA region in support of the company’s long-term strategic ambitions, according to the announcement.

Beard joined LSM in October 2017 as a senior underwriter, most recently serving as underwriting manager for war and terrorism.

Before joining LSM, she spent six years at Sompo Canopius, where she was co-head of the London-based terrorism team that wrote a diverse global book, including major corporate clients.
