Loomis Sayles Global Growth Fund highlights Amazon in Q2 letter

The fund said it returned 6.4% in Q2 2026, and it pointed to Amazon's e-commerce and AWS as key competitive advantages.

Loomis Sayles Global Growth Fund, part of the firm’s Global Growth Fund, published its Q2 2026 investor letter highlighting Amazon.com as a contributor to performance during the quarter, according to Yahoo Finance.

Yahoo Finance said the fund returned 6.43% in Q2 2026, which it noted was below the MSCI ACWI Index’s 14.93% return. The investor letter described the fund’s long-term approach of investing in high-quality businesses at significant discounts to intrinsic value.

In the letter, the fund maintained an overweight in communication services, consumer discretionary, and healthcare sectors, while it held underweights in information technology, financials, industrials, and consumer staples, Yahoo Finance reported. It also characterized Amazon’s online marketplace and Amazon Web Services as having competitive advantages tied to brand, scale, technology platform, network strengths, and logistics for e-commerce, and speed, agility, and savings for AWS.

Yahoo Finance cited Amazon’s market performance around the same period, saying the stock closed at $258.63 on August 21, 2026, with a market capitalization of $2.79 trillion. It added that Amazon was up 11.77% over one month and 13.46% over the past 52 weeks.
