Ocean Re appoints Pedro Fernandes as CFO

Ocean Re has appointed Pedro Fernandes as Chief Financial Officer, tasking him with leading the firm’s global finance function.
In the role, Fernandes will oversee financial strategy, capital management, planning and reporting, and support the company’s continued expansion and long-term business objectives.
Reinsurance News said Fernandes brings extensive international experience across finance and business leadership, with prior senior roles in the insurance and financial services sectors.
Ocean Re CEO Diego Cervantes-Knox said the appointment will help the company execute its long-term strategic vision while maintaining financial discipline and positioning the reinsurance platform for growth.
