Rate said it has recruited a top-producing Dallas mortgage branch from CrossCountry Mortgage, led by branch manager Jorge Aldrete and sales manager Edgar Vazquez.

According to HousingWire, the team cited Rate’s technology platform and Spanish-language capabilities as key reasons for the move, with Aldrete and Vazquez saying their decision was driven in part by a focus on Spanish-speaking borrowers.

HousingWire reports that both leaders and most of their team speak Spanish, and they aim to build on existing relationships and market knowledge in the Hispanic homebuyer segment.

Rate also characterized the hire as part of its broader recruiting push to attract established mortgage professionals, with executives saying the team wanted a platform that could help an already successful business grow.
