Revolut starts rolling out EURR euro stablecoin in Denmark, Poland, Portugal
Revolut said EURR is designed to track €1 and is issued by Bridge Building S.A., with wider EEA availability planned later this year.
Revolut has begun a phased rollout of EURR, its first euro-pegged stablecoin, to selected customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, the company said.
According to The Block, Revolut expects broader availability across the European Economic Area later this year, along with additional stablecoins denominated in other currencies as part of a wider stablecoin strategy.
EURR is issued by Bridge Building S.A., a subsidiary of Bridge, and is backed by reserves held by the issuer under MiCA requirements, with the token intended to maintain a value of €1, Revolut said.
The stablecoin will be integrated into Revolut’s retail app and supported across multiple blockchain networks and external wallets, The Block reported.
