ZRO token jumps after LayerZero unveils ATLAS exchange infrastructure
LayerZero said ATLAS is designed to combine matching, clearing, settlement, and risk functions, with part of its fees earmarked for ZRO token buybacks and burns.
LayerZero unveiled ATLAS, a new exchange infrastructure built on its Zero blockchain for trading platforms and financial institutions, and The Block reported that the announcement drove a surge in the ZRO token.
According to The Block, ATLAS, short for Aggregated Trading, Liquidity and Settlement, is intended to handle multiple parts of the trading workflow in one system, including matching, clearing, settlement, and risk functions.
LayerZero said the exchange will be a “headless” backend that exchanges, brokers, and institutions can integrate while keeping their own consumer apps and interfaces, and that ATLAS supports both open and institutional markets with different trading rules.
The Block also reported that ATLAS will connect trading venues, market creators, and market makers, and that LayerZero said part of the fee revenue would go toward ZRO token buybacks and burns.
