Aave begins iOS early access for consumer savings app
The iOS launch is staged, with Android and web users still on a waitlist, and iOS identity checks are available only to U.S. users based on prior disclosures.
Aave has started onboarding early users to its consumer savings app on iOS, moving the product into early access while Android and web remain waitlisted, The Defiant reported. Aave founder Stani Kulechov said the app’s Ghost Passes feature lets users invite friends to skip the waitlist. The update follows an App Store listing that already showed the Aave app and a recent version update, indicating the Wednesday change is a phased opening rather than the app’s first appearance on Apple’s platform. Aave’s mobile product page describes a savings-focused app where users can connect bank accounts and debit cards, and its stablecoin wallet supports deposits and withdrawals on Arbitrum. Deposited assets are supplied to lending pools, where borrowers pay interest that flows back to depositors, The Defiant said. In a prior July proposal, Aave Labs outlined planned features for 2026 including card fees, asset swaps, and foreign-exchange capabilities, which were not built or cleared for launch at the time. The article also notes that Aave describes the app as self-custodial, with terms stating the embedded wallet stores private keys locally, and access is subject to local law and restrictions in sanctioned and other listed jurisdictions.
