Lockton Re names Amr Afifi Head of Life & Health for MENA

Afifi is based in Dubai and will lead Lockton Re’s Life & Health platform across the Middle East and North Africa, building a regional team and client relationships.

Lockton Re, the reinsurance broking business of independent insurance broker Lockton, has appointed Amr Afifi as Head of Life & Health for the Middle East and North Africa, or MENA.

In the role, Afifi will lead Lockton Re’s Life & Health business across the region, with responsibilities that include developing the company’s Life & Health platform in MENA and strengthening relationships with clients and other market participants.

Afifi is based in Dubai. His background includes more than 15 years of experience across Middle East insurance and reinsurance, including more than 10 years at Reinsurance Group of America, where he served as Regional Director for business development covering Group, Individual Life & Health and Credit Life.

Before joining Lockton Re, he spent nearly five years at AXA Insurance Gulf as Regional Head for Group, Individual and Credit Life, overseeing regional growth and distribution and managing strategic partnerships across the GCC.
