Nasdaq futures rise after Nvidia earnings boost tech stocks
The gains follow a premarket rebound in software shares after investors’ pessimism about the sector eased post earnings, with software “as oil” declining instead of rising.
WSJ Markets reports U.S. tech futures climbed, pointing to strength in Nasdaq-linked trading after Nvidia posted bumper earnings.
The outlet said Nvidia’s results helped lift software shares in premarket trading, with the move coming after the earnings backdrop appeared to calm investor pessimism toward the sector.
WSJ Markets also noted that software shares were moving higher even as “software as oil” declined, highlighting a rotation within parts of the tech complex rather than a broad sector reversal.
Overall, the premarket read suggested investors were refocusing on company-specific momentum in mega-cap tech after the latest earnings news.
