Justin Ward appointed CEO of Pacific at Guy Carpenter
The appointment takes effect immediately, and Ward will relocate to Sydney from Singapore in July 2027 while leading Guy Carpenter’s reinsurance broking operations across the Pacific region.
Marsh has named Justin Ward as CEO of Pacific at its reinsurance broking arm, Guy Carpenter, effective immediately, according to Reinsurance News. Ward will report to Tony Gallagher, CEO of Guy Carpenter Asia Pacific.
Ward is expected to oversee the broker’s organization in the Pacific region and develop strategy to meet changing client demands across Australia, New Zealand, and other Pacific markets. He is also set to work closely with Marsh’s regional leadership team, including James Sullivan, Head of Broking for Guy Carpenter Pacific.
Before this role, Ward joined Guy Carpenter in 2018 and held senior broking positions in both Sydney and Singapore, most recently serving as Capital Advisory Leader for Asia Pacific from 2024, a position he will continue until July 2027. Prior to Guy Carpenter, he worked at Insurance Australia Group, National Australia Bank, and AMP in senior re/insurance, financial planning, and risk advisory roles.
Marsh also announced James Beedle’s appointment to Guy Carpenter Pacific’s board of directors, subject to regulatory approval. Beedle brings more than 36 years of reinsurance industry experience across markets including London, Sydney, Tokyo, and Singapore, and has worked in both broking and underwriting roles in the Asia Pacific region.
