Townhouse broker Matthew Lesser has advised over $2.5 billion in deals

Lesser, a senior partner at Leslie Garfield since 2014, has overseen sales and leasing of more than 350 properties, including a $75 million townhouse transaction at 105-107 Bank Street.

Commercial Observer profiles Matthew Lesser, a 43-year-old New York City native and senior partner at Leslie Garfield, where he has led a team focused on major townhouse transactions in the city.

According to the outlet, Lesser joined the firm in 2005 and was named senior partner in 2014. Across his career, he has represented more than $2.5 billion in residential, commercial, and institutional real estate, handling the sale and leasing of over 350 properties.

The piece highlights several notable townhouse deals, including a $75 million sale of a six-story property at 105-107 Bank Street in Manhattan’s West Village, a $65 million sale of a seven-story mansion at 12 East 63rd Street in Lenox Hill, and a $79.5 million sale of a five-story townhouse at 34-36 East 63rd Street, also in Lenox Hill.

Commercial Observer also notes that the 105-107 Bank Street transaction was sold for $70 million and that it was the most expensive townhouse sale in New York City in 2026 to date, with the deal completed entirely off-market.
