Work begins on nearly $31M Denver-area supportive housing project

The Wagoner on the Creek development in Aurora will offer 60 permanent supportive units, with income eligibility set at under 60% of area median income.

ConnectCRE reports that Brothers Redevelopment, Inc. has begun work on Wagoner on the Creek, a permanent supportive housing community at 1850 S. Chambers Road in Aurora.

The project is described as a nearly $31 million development with 60 units, designed to serve “justice-involved” and unhoused residents in Arapahoe County. Future residents will need to earn less than 60% of the area median income.

According to ConnectCRE, Brothers Redevelopment will operate an on-site office providing case management, behavioral health counseling, peer navigation, and employment support, with plans to provide medical services on site as well.

ConnectCRE also reports that the project received support from 10 funding sources, including seven government agencies, two banks, and a LIHTC contribution, and that it will include an outdoor amenity area with grills, shrubbery, fountains, and walking trails.
