AMJB declares quarterly coupon with 5.3% annualized yield

The ETN will pay $0.4957 per note, with ex-dividend and record dates set for August 28 and the distribution payable September 8.

JPMorgan Chase Financial Company announced a quarterly coupon payout for the Alerian MLP Index ETN, AMJB, highlighting continued income potential from the midstream MLP segment. The coupon is $0.4957 per note, which translates to an annualized current yield of 5.3%, roughly flat versus the prior quarter, according to ETF Trends.

AMJB was announced on August 21, with both the ex-dividend and record dates falling on Friday, August 28, and an official payout scheduled for September 8. The note tracks the Alerian MLP Index (AMZ), a cap-weighted composite of energy infrastructure MLPs that generate fee-based cash flows from transporting, processing, and storing energy commodities.

AMJB is structured as an exchange-traded note, not a traditional ETF. ETNs are senior, unsecured debt securities issued by a bank, and while they trade on an exchange and track an underlying index, they do not own the assets tracked by that index.

AMJB tracks the AMZ index, which was launched in 2006 as the first real-time MLP index, and AMJB is set to mature on January 28, 2044. ETF Trends also notes AMJB is the direct successor to the JPMorgan Alerian MLP Index ETN (AMJ), which matured in May 2024.
