Britain reports 240 crypto millionaires among taxable gains filers

HMRC data shows 17,600 people declared 1.38 billion pounds in taxable crypto gains in the first breakdown, with 87% of filers men.

Britain has published early HMRC figures showing a large concentration of people declaring taxable crypto gains, including what it effectively describes as 240 crypto millionaires based on the declared amounts, according to data cited by Decrypt.

The first HMRC breakdown counted 17,600 people who reported 1.38 billion pounds in taxable crypto gains, with most of those filers under age 55.

Gender patterns in the HMRC data also show that 87% of those reporting crypto gains were men, Decrypt reports.
